Jahshii Addresses Birthday Shooting Incident “Dem A Try Yf”
In the aftermath of a recent shooting incident where dancehall artiste Jahshii reportedly narrowly escaped injuries, he took to his Instagram account to celebrate his birthday and leave a subliminal message for his adversaries.
In the post, the “Born Fighter” singer shared a picture of himself as a child having a birthday party. The picture showed Jahshii, amongst other children, standing at a table alongside a woman who appears to be his mother.
There were ice cream cones, a cake, sweets, and other goodies on the table. The woman held a knife in Jahshii’s hand as if to cut the cake.
Below the picture, he wrote the following caption, “Dem A Try Yf [praying emoji]! #NthLikeLife.”
After that, he wrote “7/7,” which represents his birthday, as he was born on the seventh day of the seventh month, July.
In the comments, fans showered the Dj with messages of love, hope, and encouragement. He also received many birthday wishes from his followers.
Dancehall giant Bount Killer @1unogeneral wrote, “Earth strong blessings pon blessings stay firm n strong kid jah is in [praying emoji].”
Another user, @chrome_skin_sim_, commented, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper [praying emoji].”
“Yo born di 7th of the 7th month, 7 is Gods favorite number [party emoji] [prayer emoji] stay blessed [praying emoji],” said @shannibrazilian.
Richnika was concerned about his safety and encouraged him to leave Jamaica.
Six members of Jahshii’s entourage were injured when gunmen opened fire on one of their vehicles. The dancehall artiste was unharmed.
