I-Octane Vs Khago Sumfest Clash?

Dancehall artistes I-Octane and Khago have been going at each other in a lyrical battle since March, and now it is being questioned if they will take their clash to Reggae Sumfest. While I-Octane and Khago were not revealed to be on the line-up, it seems as if I-Octane might be booked for the event based on the information in his new song.

I-Octane spoke about destroying “cokehead” Khago at the event in one of his latest diss track, No Chorus. The 38-year-old dared Skatta Burrell, one of the event organisers, to make the brutal battle happen by booking Khago.

“Skatta if yuh bad, bet yuh yuh nuh put dah fool yah pan Sumfest, see if mi nuh turn it inna gunfest, coppa inna him front breath, p***y swallow shots like comtrex, who tell dah p***y fi come test?” I-Octane deejayed.

Khago has since replied with lyrics of his own, wittily putting the words rife and Reggae Sumfest in the same line, “Pussy ago dead when mi rifle a wave and a sing sweet like Reggae Sumfest,” he sings.

I-Octane and Khago’s beef goes back multiple years, but the reason behind their feud is unknown. There has been speculation that the two, who were once close friends, fell out because of a woman.

The clash was reignited by a lyrical attack from Khago and carried on with threats, detailed murder scenes, name-calling, and various accusations. At the time of writing this article, I-Octane has released over ten diss tracks, counteracting Khago’s eight diss songs.

Fans have been cheering on the clash, and the new song received praise for being lyrical. One viewer said, “Lyrics in overdrive, I-Octane is unstoppable. He’s exceeding expectations, and taking control like a boss.” Another stated, “Octane is on another level. Nah sah! Lyrics, melody, adlibs, style and pattern!”
