IWaata Talks Viral Hit “Tun Di Ada Way”, Billboard and More Plus Shows Grammy Tattoo “Mi affi get it” – Watch interview

Known for songs such as Clip Tall and Whisper, dancehall artiste IWaata has unearthed another hit, with his single Tun Di Ada Way which is now taking over social media as the latest viral single.
Tun Di Ada Way was released in October on the Rock A By Baby Riddim. The Dethwrld Records track has since amassed over 1.2 million views on YouTube as fans continue to stream the track, creating or replicating a dance choreography for the single on social media.
During an interview on OnstageTV, IWaata spoke about the song’s success and potential to garner international recognition. IWaata shared that Tun Di Ada Way charted #4 on Apple Music’s Top 25: Kingston Playlist and secured #1 on Audiomack.
According to the Nuff Money deejay, the single is currently tracking to acquire a million views due to a massive surge in views after its third week. IWaata also expressed confidence that the single would be able to debut on the Billboard music charts and shared his desire to break into the international market and become a mainstream artiste.

IWaata is set to perform at Sting on December 26.
Speaking on the virality of the single, IWaata disclosed that one version of Tun Di Ada Way has so far been used in over 17,000 videos on TikTok, with other versions of the track garnering over 1,000 views. I-Waata said that while the song has not yet officially charted in Europe to his knowledge, it has been growing in popularity among international audiences.
Despite the concerns regarding the current state of the dancehall, IWaata did not appear worried and shared his confidence in the foundation built by dancehall veterans. Further speaking on dancehall’s place internationally, I-Wata cited the recently announced Jamaican nominees for the 2024 Grammys as a sign that things changed for local artistes.
The deejay proclaimed his intention to walk away with the coveted award in the future, stating, “Mi nominate mi self long time enuh. Mi affi get it,” while pointing to the tattooed Grammy on his neck.
