Following the attack on his own life in July, the brother of Dancehall artiste Jahshii was reportedly shot and killed Saturday morning in Grants Pen, Kingston.
The death of Jahshii’s brother follows the death of Omar “Romie” Wright, who was shot and killed on June 7 by unknown assailants. Wright’s murder sparked tensions in Jahshii’s native community, with allegations emerging that he was involved in Wright’s death. However, the deejay was never implicated in the case after being questioned by police.
According to reports, Jahshii’s brother, David ‘Mosiah’ Clarke, was at his home in Grants Pen when gunmen invaded the house at approximately 2 a.m. this morning. Clarke was shot and killed during the attack, while another man who was at the house at the time of the incident sustained injuries during the incident.
The authorities were alerted after explosions were heard from the home, and Clark’s body was found. Clark reportedly operated the shop owned by his and Jahshii’s father, Mervin Clark.
Earlier this summer, Jahshii narrowly escaped what was seemingly an attempt on the artiste’s life on his birthday when the vehicle he was travelling in was shot up by armed assailants. Six of Jahshii’s companions were injured during the attack.
