DCP Bailey recounted the disturbing incident, revealing that young Danielle was abducted from her school in Portmore and subsequently taken to Roosevelt Avenue in Kingston, where she suffered a fatal assault. A passerby valiantly assisted her to the Bustamante Children’s Hospital.
Despite the dedicated efforts of the medical team, Danielle succumbed to her injuries two days later, on June 10, 2023.
The case has now reached a crucial turning point with the positive identification of the suspect, Kayodi Satchell, a thirty-year-old dental assistant from Padmore District, Red Hills, Saint Andrew, and Twickenham Park, Saint Catherine. Satchell was taken into custody on August 11, 2023, and positively identified in an identification parade held on August 25, 2023.
DCP Bailey commended the persistence and dedication of the investigative team, highlighting that this breakthrough reflects their unwavering commitment.
