JFF Releases CONCACAF Gold Cup Match Dates For Jamaica

The CONCACAF Gold Cup is back and Jamaica is looking to kick off a few matches in July, with the hopes of advancing closer to the ultimate goal of winning the competition.

The CONCACAF competition features teams from all over the western hemisphere, those like the USA, Canada, Mexico, Nicaragua, Haiti, Jamaica and much more.

The first showdown will take place on July 12, where Jamaica will face off against Suriname at the Exploria stadium.

The next two matches in July as announced by the Jamaica Football Federation on their Instagram account will also be played at the Exploria Stadium, where on July 16, the winner of the preliminary 8 will showdown against the Reggae Boyz.

The next match after that for the Jamaican Football team will be on July 20, when they play Costa Rica.

In the comment section followers of the JFF’s page was sending great wishes for the National team, however, some of those who expressed their opinions are hoping that players such as Michail Antonio, and Leon Bailey are included in the squad for a sure win.

The competition is a good look, as Jamaica looks forward to qualifying for next year’s World Cup. According to Fifa, Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz currently ranks 48th worldwide with Belgium being the number 1 ranked football team in the world.
