Joe Bogdanovich – Reggae Sumfest and the Improvements

In a recent interview, Joe Bogdanovich revealed that the sale of the Reggae Sumfest tickets has skyrocketed. He is looking forward to breaking out more new artistes in the same way Rygin King made the big break last year.
There will be the Platinum, Gold Lux, VIP and other sections that are closer to the stage where visitors will be entertained with added perks and most of these tickets are already sold-out.

Bogdanovich is serious about meeting international standards by starting on time and having adequate security, the Montego Bay Mayor and the security forces will be on board to offer professional service so that everyone will be safe.

There are some artistes who will not appear on the show this year because Bogdanovich is focused on breaking out young talent. This means that Alkaline, Shenseea, Aidonia, Tommy Lee and others will not be performing.

He also mentioned that videos of the show have gotten over a billion views since he took over the operations of the festival and he plans to keep on finding ways to improve the show every year.

Joe spoke about the (BBC) Beres, Buju and Chronix they will be getting special attention as Chronix has been working hard to improve his brand. Beenie Man and Bounty Killa will also be performing in a special slot as the organizers want the young artistes to learn about what it takes to have long-lasting careers in the music business.

More attention is being paid to Social Media and what the young people are doing there. The fact that the “Six” will be closing the show has caused some persons to wonder if that won’t be a bad idea, but Bogdanovich said they are hot now, the young people love them and their music is being played all over, so he believes he made the right decision and people will love it.

The Pre-parties will be another new feature this year and Island Stream will be there at their booth showing what they do with Marijuana.

He encourages everyone to be early so that they won’t miss any of the festivals as living up to the international standards is very important for him.
