Koffee – The New Brand Ambassador for Mastercard

Grammy Winner Koffee who was the youngest winner in the Reggae category in February this year, has inked a deal with the payment pioneers Mastercard and she is now their official brand ambassador in Jamaica. This exclusive partnership is the first appointment of its kind in the region, Koffee’s already impressive list of 2020 great achievements just got longer.
Koffee racked up over 1 million views in under 48 hours with the summer hit song “Lockdown” and broke a record. The rising Jamaican star has now scored again in the middle of the pandemic when she secured the lucrative deal.
It was announced recently, the marketing campaign featuring Koffee is expected to build awareness about using digital payments and it will be rolled out in the upcoming weeks.
Koffee will be assisting customers and merchants as they learn about the safety, convenience and the acceptance of Mastercard’s electronic payment options in many places. It’s an important assignment for the very talented singjay and both her and her team have embraced the idea already. She is very excited to be a part of Mastercard’s initiative to help increase financial literacy as she assists Jamaicans so they can reach their financial goal.
Koffee’s manager, Tammi Chang acknowledged her moving cadence and knack for conveying wholesome messages to people, she was excited about the collaboration also. She thinks it can be hard, in these times, to get one’s budget organised. Now that Koffee is the ambassador for Mastercard, it will cause her peers to be aware that being financially responsible can contribute to getting things in order so they can achieve their goals.

Marcus Carmo, who is Mastercard’s head of marketing and communications for the Caribbean, saw Koffee as one of Jamaica’s most gifted musical talents and she remains grounded, humble even though she is young and she still finds time to give back to her community. At Mastercard the decision to partner with her was easy to make.
Dalton Fowles, country manager of Mastercard in Jamaica & T&T was just as ecstatic and he expressed the same thoughts. He was thrilled to have Koffee joining them. She is both a consumer and their brand ambassador.
She will be experiencing the security and convenience of the payment services and products. New opportunities will be created and priceless experiences along with digital empowerment for the Jamaican cardholders.
