Dancehall artiste Konshens reportedly could not find his wife, Latoya Ameik Spence, who was last seen in the Edgewater area around 3:00 PM on Monday, but luckily she was found by the City of Miami Police Department Special Victims Unit.
Reportedly, the police located the 41-year-old pregnant woman in a local hospital. According to the description given, Latoya, who was last seen driving a 2017 Matte Black Jeep Wrangler with oversized tires, was wearing a black sweater and shorts.
Following the reports of her being found, Konshens, born Garfield Spence, released a statement on Instagram today (Wednesday) confirming his four-month pregnant wife is safe.
According to his post, he stated she was admitted to a hospital following an incident that he was not aware of, but prior to her being found he had to alert the Miami Police Department after being unable to contact her and not being able to locate her at any hospital on his own.
“FOUND HER. She is safe. She had an accident and got admitted without my knowledge. Realizing she was not responding to calls and texts, I started calling around hospitals. After calling all hospitals in the area and them all saying no patient by that name was there, I had no choice but to alert the police. The police did their own search and found out that she was indeed admitted,” Konshens shared.
“Many thanks for all the calls and prayers, she is now in recovery with no serious injuries, give thanks. This is a tuff time for our family and I will appreciate all the privacy we can get at this time. Thanks again to Miami PD for their swift action,” he added.
the couple has been married since November 19, 2017, when they said their vows at Fort Lauderdale Marriot Harbour Beach Resort and Spa in Florida. In 2019, Konshens indicated on Instagram that he and the mother of his son were having marital issues and they had separated.
However, after also revealing that he was struggling mentally because his older brother, dancehall artiste Delus, committed suicide in 2016, which made him depressed and suicidal, Latoya announced that she would be sticking by her husband’s side and help him to heal.
