Kuanna Looks to Stamp her Name in Reggae Music: New Song ‘Spirit Of Authority’

Up and coming Reggae artiste Kuanna is currently promoting her new song entitled Spirit of Authority which was produced by Richie Chaplin Entertainment. The track was released in late June.

Kuanna (formally known as Sista Quanna) who was born to the name Sharnett Shereta Eccleston, hails from the small district of Deeside Trelawny where she started to sing from the age of five. She attended the William Knibb Memorial High School.

She found inspiration from artistes such as Buju Banton, Half Pint, Turbulence, Jah Mason, etc and has released songs like Wet Volcano (Whine in Deh), Hallelujah, and In Love With You ft. Turbulence.

Her latest release speaks of her ever-burning spiritual fire as she looks to propel her career in the music industry. The rising musician introduces herself in the song and also touches on the harsh reality of trying to make something of yourself while people try to bring you down.

She sings, “How dem a gwaan like dem nuh know bout me, how dem a gwaan like dem nah hear bout me…wave the rasta banner so the world can see, stamping my name innah this industry. I am a star innah my community, fire mumma burn and purge iniquity.”

“Well I nuh care what haters want to say about me, dem can gwaan do well innah dem negativity, I a pay attention to the positivity, I stand firm in jah faith with dignity,” sang Kuanna.
