Laden Talks Linking Up With Kartel and Tommy Lee in Prison, His Musical Journey and Plans For the Future

Dancehall star Laden details his rise to stardom in one of the most competitive times in dancehall music. Laden explained how he managed to strive during a period when Gaza and Gully dominated the dancehall scene.
As he continues to enjoy his recently reinstated freedom, the entertainer sat down with popular YouTuber Jaii for a revealing interview on his journey so far. The entertainers credit his natural talent, patience, tenacity and D Genious as the main reasons for him getting his big break in music.
Laden says despite the climate he came up in musically, he did not represent any of the two sides in his music and was friends with both Mavado and Vybz Kartel even though he was a Gaza fan through and through. The Time To Shine artiste said he was never violated by any members of the entertainer’s camp and was shown mutual respect despite the visible tension between the sides and being at studio with them.
In the interview Laden highlights that during his incarceration, he got a chance to see the person he refers to as his artiste(Vybz Kartel), he also linked up with Tommy-Lee Sparta and shares a story about the two performing in prison..
Laden explained how he and Vybz Kartel linked up in prison by stating, “Cause we have a football competition inside the institution and you know World Boss have him team weh him coach and manage, me have my team weh me play for.”
Laden then went on to reveal that he and Tommy Lee par together and shared a bond while in lock up. He says they even performed accapella style during a concert held within the prison.
According to the Senty King, prison was not a pleasant experience despite him leaving prison as a solid individual and managing to keep his mental space in good health. Laden also encouraged members of the general public to keep out of the halls of prisons and jails.
In terms of musical projects, Ladens says he has some big collaborations set to be released, which feature the likes of Chronic Law and Popcaan. He also reeled off a list of notable producers he is currently working with.
