Lil Wayne Pleads Guilty to Firearm and Ammo Charges

Rap legend, Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. whose more commonly known as Lil Wayne is currently in a tight spot after he pled guilty earlier today, December 11th in Florida for the possession of a firearm and ammunitions.

Currently, his future hangs in the balance because Wayne is a convicted felon

A gold-plated Remington 1911, .45-caliber handgun was found in his luggage while he was aboard a private jet. According to the police, they also found multiple drugs including cocaine, ecstasy and oxycodone.

According to TMZ, federal agents searched Wayne’s plane after it landed in Florida while in transit to California last December, in 2019 after getting a tip from an unnamed source.

At the time Wayne’s attorney, Howard Srebnick explained that the rapper was “cleared” despite the rumours of the found.

Now as reported by TMZ, the New Orleans, Louisiana native rapper entered a plea deal with the FEDs, accepting full responsibility with the hope of getting a low prison sentence.

Weezy’s Lawyer Howard Srebnick argues that “There is no allegation that he ever fired it, brandished it, used it or threatened to use it. There is no allegation that he is a dangerous person.”

Lil Wayne was convicted on similar charges back in 2009.

Dwayne could face sup to 10 years in prison however he is expected to get less time after taking the blame.

Lil Wayne’s sentencing is scheduled for January 2021.

News also broke today that Wayne is being sued for $20 Million USD by a former manager.
