Manchester City Beats Liverpool 4-1 in EPL Fixture
The football world and English Premiere League lovers were eager to have club football back in action after the recent international break. To kick things off on Saturday in the EPL, Manchester City hosted Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.
Liverpool got things going early in the match when Mohamed Salah scored to put them ahead in the 17th minute. This was Salah’s 4th goal in four matches vs City. However, Manchester City sprung into gear, levelling the score 10 minutes later in the 27th minute, they then went on to score in the 46th, 53rd and 74th minute to win the match which takes them 5 points behind league leader Arsenal.
Julian Alvarez, Jack Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan were all on the scoresheet for Manchester City.
As a result of the scoreline, Liverpool remains in 6th place with 42 points as they fight for a Champions League spot. On the other hand, City is 2nd in the EPL table with 64 points as they give Arsenal a run for their money.
