Marion Hall is letting her critics know that she has not crossed off dancehall, explaining that she will return to the genre if God leads her there. The minister had a mouthful to say during a live stream she held today, addressing naysayers and comments about her portraying herself as a dancehall artiste instead of a gospel singer.
While saying that people have been passing remarks that she is lost since she became a Christian, Marion questioned if the critics were not happy to see her branching off into reggae.
“Another sister in the music business seh that I am lost, so now that I’m going back into the reggae scene, right, shouldn’t you be happy? When you feel like I am coming back into dancehall….you should be happy, cause I was lost when I came out, right?” she asked, adding, “Why you have a problem with me coming back in then if that’s what you say I am doing?”
She continued by stating that “God is sending out his soldiers” into the “landmines” and, while there are soldiers who will be too distracted with taking careful steps, she was not the same. She continued by making biblical references before going on to say that she is willing to “step up in the devil’s territory and take what God” sent her to get.
