Mother Says She Shot Her 2 Sons in Head by “Accident”

Tiffanie Lucas, a Bullitt County mother of 2 makes another appearance in court after stating that the incident where she shot her two young children in the head, was “an accident”.

The brothers, Maurice (6) and Jayden (9) were found by a neighbour inside a bedroom of their house suffering from gunshot wounds and were consequently rushed to the hospital. However, they did not make it.

According to witness testimony, Lucas was reported to child services for abuse before the shooting.

Upon her initial arrest, Lucas was questioned by investigators, and according to detective Richard Beal of the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office, she said that the shooting was accidental. Beal also revealed that, “She also made some comments such as ‘I’m in such a bad spot.’”

Lucas, arrested over a week ago and charged with two counts of murder, is currently being held at the Bullitt County’s detention center. Bond is set at two million dollars.
