Mr. Vegas Gives Teejay Advice Amid Feud with Valiant: “Be a Star, Bredren, Don’t Be a Moon” – Watch Video
Amid Teejay’s ongoing feud with fellow dancehall artiste Valiant, Mr. Vegas has shared a few words of guidance for the deejay, advising him to act like a star.
In addition to going back and forth in diss tracks aimed at each other, Teejay and Valiant have also been shading each other online. Teejay also took his contention with the artiste and producer DJ Mac to a live stream, as well as multiple Instagram posts.
But dancehall veteran Mr. Vegas has advised the artiste to use his anger in the studio and stay off social media. While advising Teejay to “just be a star and don’t be a moon,” Vegas told the artiste to focus on his upcoming EP and speak on that in his live streams instead of the feud.
Teejay is currently scheduled to release his long-awaited EP, I Am Chippy, on February 2. The EP will be his first release since inking a deal with the Warner Music Group and is expected to do well amid his international success with Drift.
However, Vegas warned that his current feud may distract fans from the EP’s release. Vegas also expressed that people can easily become distracted as they are more interested in gossip.
The Heads High deejay further advised Teejay to put all of his grievances in a song and channel them into the music to create another hit like Owna Lane. In a reported post made by Vegas, the artiste further called on Teejay and Valiant to settle their feud on stage for dancehall.
