Munga Honorable Heads To Trial

Dancehall News, With the biggest comeback song we’ve seen in a while, in 2018 Munga turned his negative situation into a positive with hit song “Nah Mad”, however, this positive may not last for too long as Munga Honorable is still out on bail.

The top dancehall artiste still awaits because the trial for him and the other accused person was pushed back until November 5. Munga was served with all the necessary documents by the prosecution, but the other accused person has not received their documents, and this caused the delay.

Christopher Townsend represented them in Court on June 6, when they appeared in the Supreme Court in Kingston. Townsend spoke about how eager Munga was to move forward with the case.

Munga and the co-accused was charged because he is allegedly connected with the murder of Cleveland Smith, which took place in November 2017.

Munga doesn’t mind the process that happens in the court system, but he is anxious to get back to his career, he can’t wait to put this behind him.

According to police reports, Damian Rhoden aka Munga Honorable and the other accused person were charged because after a group of men accosted Smith at a Dance that was held in Ackee Walk, a community in St. Andrew. One man in the group had a gun and Smith was shot. He succumbed to his injury even though he was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital.

Munga was granted bail for $500,000 in June 2017 and his lawyer is confident that he will be found innocent and set free when the trial is finished.

Mr. Townsend is confident that he will be able to present a good defence and his client will be set free eventually.
The “Bad From Mi Born” deejay could be back on the stage after the trial.

Fellow dancehall artistes Vybz Kartel and Ninja Man found themselves in a similar situation and were found guilty by the courts hence Munga’s future is still undecided.

Munga was reportedly chopped in 2015 by Mr. Smith who is also reported to be a relative Mr. Vegas. Munga back then stated that Smith tried to take is life.

In an Interview with Nightly Fix Munga explains that himself and Mr. Vegas have not been friends for a very long time. Munga also states that there’s a hit on his head.

Munga is from St. Mary.

Munga was involved in a fatal car crash January of this year which resulted in a Canadian woman losing her life, both Munga and the Lady were reportedly sleeping at the time of the crash.
