Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness, has announced that there will be a brand new curfew put in place due to the recent upsurge of the Corona Virus pandemic on the Island.
This is coming after a 2 day cumulative of 144 confirmed cases since Wednesday and Thursday as reported by the Ministry of Health. The new information was provided on Friday by the Prime Minister at a Jamaica house emergency briefing.

Prime Minister Holness did also mentioned that Clarendon too is under close watch after 7 new cases had been discovered there.
Another Parish that the Prime Minister also highlighted was St. Thomas that recently saw their Covid-19 count jump to 100. St. Thomas too was under a time restriction from 7 pm to 5 am, this however has shifted to 11 pm to 5 am.
The Government has decided to put a firm hand on the keeping of funerals not allowing more than 15 people inclusive of the officials involved in the proceedings to attend the burial.
Church services have been declared a big no-no as it is said that the huge climb in numbers for the Parish of St.Thomas came as a result of funeral gatherings.
