PM Holness Visits Gregory Park Firebomb Victims

Prime Minister Andrew Michael Holness on Monday shared scenes from his visit to Walkers Avenue in Gregory Park, St. Catherine and while doing so made several statements about what happened on the ‘night of terror’.
Reports are that on Saturday, men firebombed several houses in the area resulting in over 40 people being homeless after their houses were destroyed, a taxi man was also fatally shot.
Addressing the matter, PM Holness who has been the leader of Jamaica since 2016 took to social media and wrote, “Early Saturday morning, terror was unleashed on innocent families in sections of Walkers Avenue in Gregory Park by vicious attackers who set their homes ablaze and rained bullets on them. Now an entire community is traumatized and hurting.”
The statement continues, “Heartless and inhuman acts like these are stark and painful reminders that we must speak with one voice to save Jamaican lives and bring to justice those barbaric criminals who prey on the innocent.”
Then concluded, “I give my Jamaican people the assurance that we will pursue these criminals relentlessly.”
He also made multiple other comments on the matter.
