Pregnant Teen Stabs Male Relative to Death in St. Andrew

Reports allege that a pregnant woman had been taken into police custody after an altercation with a relative of hers ended in death.
It was stated that the two parties involved, the 18-year-old mother-to-be and the victim, Ryan West (31), were in the Mount Ogle district of St. Andrew when they got into an argument.
West was identified as the 18-year-old’s ex-uncle-in-law and reportedly, the weekend saw both parties locked in an argument that turned physical when West allegedly grabbed the unidentified pregnant woman around the neck.
It was said that she got away and fled to a nearby house.
Further allegations mentioned that the accused grabbed a knife inside the house and the pair met again in a hallway that led outside only to pick up where they left off. During the second encounter, the now-deceased was allegedly stabbed in the neck.
The incident took place at around 8:15 PM on Saturday.
The weapon was collected from the scene and West was taken to KPH (Kingston Public Hospital) where he was later pronounced dead.
