Fans are sad to see that Ras Kitchen’s creator, Matthew Pancer, and chef Ras Mokko Jackson parting ways on bad terms. The two apparently had a fallout, and Ras Mokko reportedly spread a false narrative about Matt, who decided to clear the air in a video.

Matt started off by explaining that while he usually ignores negative feedback from people on the channel he operates with Mokko, he could not turn a blind eye to Mokko’s negative comments about him. “Mokko does not deal with his own finances. He needs assistance with this. It’s generally his daughter, Shauna, that takes care of it for him,” Matt said.

Adding that there is frequent communication between him and Shauna regarding Mokko’s monthly compensation, he declined the rumours about him not helping Mokko or his family.

As a result of Matt and Mokko’s terminated partnership, the store with their merchandise will be closed, and the YouTube channel will feature collaborations with different Jamaican vloggers. While Matt shared that he is excited about what the future holds for the channel, he also shared his dissatisfaction with the way things turned out.

Matt and Mokko started the popular show depicting Jamaican Ital cuisine, giving viewers a glimpse of what it’s like to prepare meals using only organic ingredients. Everything Mokko prepares in his Blue Mountain shack is made using organic ingredients from his farm and a local natural food store.
