Shabba Ranks Mother Passes Away

Grammy winning dancehall artiste Shabba Ranks’ mother, Constance Christie, aka ‘Mama Christie’ passed away and the dancehall world is reacting online.

While there is no official report on the matter, several top entertainers who know the facts have taken to social media to send condolences to Shabba and his family.

Shabba’s mother reportedly died at age 81 and Shabba was one out of a total of eight kids that she had.

Bounty Killer a fellow Seaview artiste as Shabba took to Instagram and wrote the following after hearing the sad news, “Condolences goes to @shabbaranksofficial and his family on the passing of his mother the well beloved Mama Christy rest well Aunty sad street!”.

Dexta Daps who made the hit single “Shabba Mother Pot” also took to Instagram to express his shock after losing someone he had much respect and love for, he wrote “IDK Y GOD” with crying emojis before further expressing disbelief by saying “this is not happening”.

On the other hand, Shabba’s Instagram is private and we are yet to see a reaction from the veteran himself who must be feeling down at this time as we know he loves his mother to his heart

Mamma Christie earlier told a reporter that “Shabba is mentally connected to her” she also went on to outline that “I never have to call Rexton for anything. Whenever I’m in need of something, Rexton always know about it, even before I say it to him,”.

At this time it’s uncertain what was her cause of death.
