Shaggy Seemingly Supports PNP

The People’s National Party (PNP) seems to have the support of another popular Jamaican artiste, Shaggy. This news came to light when a photo of the international artiste was shared online, showing him wearing a PNP hat with a broad smile across his face.
The picture comes a few days after Buju Banton showed his support for the PNP when he attended the People’s National Party Annual Conference. His attendance came as a shock to many, but fellow reggae artiste Queen Ifrica said the political parties were using celebrities as a strategy.
The photograph of Shaggy wearing a “Go With Golding” cap has attracted some attention, with social media users expressing their views about whether or not the PNP was the best move for the country.
Foota Hype agrees that the PNP should win the next election as he shared the image on Instagram while noting that the Mr. Boombastic artiste is “sensible” for supporting the PNP because Prime Minister Andrew Holness “must go.”
In reaction to the popular Selector’s post, someone questioned if the PNP was any better than the Jamaica Labour Party, and another said that they believe a third political party needs to form and govern the country.
