Thriving not only on the field but in her marriage as well, Jamaican Olympian Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and her husband Jason Pryce have celebrated another year of happiness as January 7th marked the couple’s 13th anniversary.
Shelly-Ann’s pursuit of success in track and field unexpectedly led to her now-marital bliss, as the sprinter first caught her husband’s eyes while training at the University of Technology (UTech).
Shelly-Ann and Jason later started dating after they were both introduced by fellow sprinter Asafa Powell, who also trained at UTech.
In 2011, Shelly-Ann helped team Jamaica secure silver at the Daegu World Championships, but that year would also see the elite athlete tie the knot with Jason at the Tryall Club in Hanover.
Following their anniversary on Sunday, Shelly-Ann shared a post-anniversary message on her Facebook page on Monday.
Noting that the day before had marked “year 13 of forever,” the sprinter shared a photo of her and Jason elegantly dressed for dinner.
The couple were all smiles as they posed for a selfie together in the photograph.
