Shenseea Says Vybz Kartel Is Her Biggest Influence
A video was recently shared showing Shenseea commending one of Dancehall’s biggest artiste – Vybz Kartel, whilst stating that the incarcerated deejay is one of her main influences in making her songs.
She further stated that whenever she is writing a track, she always tries to embody that of Vybz Kartel, as he is undoubtedly an impressive artiste with an amazing writing style and unique catchy punchlines in his music.
Since the video, however, Shenseea has been receiving numerous backlash from the Gazanation fans who are speculating that the “Blessed” artiste is making reference to the lyrics in her song titled “Lick” with American rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
Persons went further to question why Shenseea is now giving credit to Vybz Kartel and why it was not done before the release of that particular song.
