Son Drowns While Fishing With Father in St. Ann

As per reports, a student of Alston High School in St. Ann drowned on Tuesday while he was out fishing with his father and a friend at a river located in Borobridge of the parish.

The deceased teen has been identified as 15-year-old Matthew Fung.
As per RJR, the young man fell from a raft and into the river while fishing at about 5:30 p.m. on the day, all efforts to rescue Fung proved futile.
It’s suspected that the river overflowed its banks as a result of Hurricane Beryl.
The police have cautioned Jamaicans to be vigilant while using water bodies that have been affected by the Hurricane.
