St. Ann Man Suspected of Killing His Girlfriend Dies in Hospital

The St. Ann man who attempted to take his life by reportedly drinking Gramoxone after he allegedly killed his girlfriend, Cameka Haley, died in the hospital.
The suspect, Kevon Shirley, died at the Kingston Public Hospital on Thursday. The 36-year-old was initially taken to the St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital by the police two days after his girlfriend was found dead.
According to a report, Cameka was found dead inside her home in Charles Town on January 27. The body of the 44-year-old attendant at the St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital was discovered under a sheet with blood on her nightgown.
On January 29, Kevon, a construction worker, jumped into a tank at Higgins Land in the Alexandria district after he had ingested a chemical substance.
The report stated that he was taken from the tank by the police and carried to St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital before he was later transferred to KPH.
