Citizens of Malvern, St. Elizabeth are in shock and awe after the body of Garfield Dennis was found lifeless, hanging from the ceiling of his woodwork shop on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the police, the discovery was made around 4:45 pm. It is suspected that he may have committed suicide and there is a rumour that he left a suicide note.
Mr. Dennis was a Construction teacher at BB Coke High School where he served for many years. In 2010, he was stabbed in the back by a male student on the school compound.
The incident happened when he reprimanded the student. As he turned to walk away, the student stabbed him in the back and ran off.
The BB Coke school family and the community continue to mourn the passing of Mr. Dennis.
