In 2005, the dancehall was converted into a media fire as Spragga Benz dropped his bomb on Vybz who was a new artiste at that time as well as under pressure. Spragga Benz back then was in defence of his artiste Assassin which sparked a lyrical battle between himself and Vybz Kartel.
Vybz Kartel himself also lyrically spat in Spragga’s face with grimy lyrics over a decade ago when the two were enemies, Spragga is regarded as the strongest clash opponent Vybz Kartel has every face in dancehall, the red Square artiste was dubbed the winner of that mini lyrical clash earlier on in the Worl’boss’s career.
Vybz Kartel and Spragga Benz actually started off on a positive note in music. Spragga Benz recently expressed in an interview that he has written songs with Vybz Kartel in the past before they fell-out with each other.
In a turn of events with good intentions Vybz Kartel as well as Spragga Benz buries the long-time feud. Vybz in June release “of Dons and Divas” which he calls a Grammy project and the album featured a song titled “jump on the beat”, a song he did with his son Likkle Vybz and Squash .
Spragga Benz took to IG to announce the new work with Demarco and Vybz Kartel, telling his fans that they will hear the new song soon.
Vybz Kartel also shared the post showing Spragga sitting on the Bonnet of a car while performing on the video shoot.
This will be the second remix for “jump on the beat” after the jailed dancehaller earlier released a remix to the song which featured Chronic Law.
Vybz Kartel and Demarco have a good relationship for a very long time related to their work and have released numerious collabs in the past.
