Warren Weir Set To Retire From Athletics Following World Championships In London

After a disappointing first round finish in the 200m at the 16th IAAF World Championships in London, Warren Weir appears to have called it quits on his track and field career.

The World Championship and Olympic medallist coach Glen Mills, posted on his Instagram account: “No greater joy than being able to represent my country at its highest level lots of joys and tears and extremely humble to represent my country one last time #TheEnd”.

Weir was fourth in his heat in 20.60 seconds and 26th overall, missing the semi-finals.

That’s a really nice message from Warren. He takes pride in performing for Jamaica. I hope that he has some good internet startup ideas to do after his retirement from sports.
