WATCH: Julie Mango Serenades Rita Marley at the IRAWMA Awards Show

The International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) was held at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center in the United States (US) on March 22, 2024, at which Julie Mango (Juliet Bodley), public figure and Jamaica’s resident TikTok comedian, was the cohost. This was the event’s 41st staging since its inception in 1982.
Julie shared with her Instagram followers that she serenaded Rita Marley behind the scenes at the show and that she was happy to have performed her favourite song for her. The song in question is Rita Marley’s Good Girls Culture (1984).
In a post uploaded to the social media platform, Julie stated, “Me getting to sing my favorite song of all time “Good Girl Culture” to Dr. Rita Marley backstage the Irawma Awards show , where I’m your host for the evening. Glad bag buss!!!”
