Woman Dies After Car Explosion In Trelawny

Trelawny police are investigating the fatal crash that happened Tuesday morning in the parish. A motorcar crashed head-first into another vehicle on Duncans bypass road and exploded shortly after, which caused the death of the woman who was driving.
A motorist, claiming to be an eyewitness of the accident, explained that the woman was driving towards Falmouth when she lost control of the vehicle and swerved into the path of an oncoming car.
The woman, who is still unidentified, was in the car when it burst into flames shortly after the collision. The fire quickly surrounded the car before any assistance could be offered to the woman.
Subsequently, the woman was taken to the hospital but she succumbed to her injuries.
