YG Marley’s ‘Praise Jah in the Moonlight’ Jumps to #60 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart

The latest musical sensation to come from the Marley family, Joshua Marley, professionally known as YG Marley, continues to climb up on the Billboard Hot 100 charts with his viral single Praise Jah in the Moonlight.

YG Marley is the son of Rohan Marley and Lauryn Hill. The singer first previewed Praise Jah in the Moonlight last year, performing the single on stage with his mother during her tour.

It quickly gained traction online, with calls for it to be officially released. YG Marley later released the track in December, with the viral song making its debut at #74 on the Hot 100 Billboard chart

Following its debut on the chart earlier this month, the single continues to grow in popularity and has climbed to #60 ahead of songs such as You Broke My Heart by Drake and FE!N by Travis Scott and Playboi Carti.

Its official audio was released on YouTube on December 25 and has so far amassed over 9.4 million views.

The song samples Bob Marley and The Wailers’ song Crisis and delves into themes of love and spiritual consciousness over a melodious one-drop reggae beat.
