Youtube Awards Masicka For 1 Million Subs

Dancehall artiste Masicka took to Instagram hours ago to celebrate the receipt of a plaque from youtube for achieving 1 million subscribers on the platform.

The King Inna Earth artiste went on his Instagram page “@masickamusic” to show his plaque to his fans. Dressed in a white T-shirt, cream joggers pants, and a brown and cream beanie, with the gold plaque in hand, the artiste wrote “Bless up @youtube for the million subscribers plaque. Nuff things a fawud gwaan look, the fans dem own dis uno deserve it believe.” Below this, he wrote “#1sydeforever  #solidlakarock.”

Dancehall fans and artistes were quick to shower praises on the 1Syde boss page. Veteran Dancehall artiste Bounty Killer replied to the post with “Congratulations bro” to which Masicka responded, “mi idol.” More commendations came from @DextaDaps, @Teflonzincfence, @Lilaike, @Kardinalo, and many others.

Masicka (29), whose real name is Javaun Fearon, was born on December 4, 1993, in the parish of St Catherine. He attended Calabar High School and started showing signs of what was to come then.

Fast forward to 2021, the lyricist released his debut album, 438, which spent 7 weeks on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart and peaked at Number 2. The album was released under his Genahsyde/1Syde Records label and propelled the artiste to even higher heights in the eyes of Dancehall fans and pundits. Masicka recently released a song called “Pieces,” a collaboration with fast-rising Dancehall act Jahshii. The official audio has acquired 456k views on MasickagenahsydeVEVO after 4days.

Continuing with collaborations, Vybz Kartel recently hinted at a new combination with the Greatness singer. Kartel, incarcerated since 2011 for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams, posted an image on Instagram with both his and Masicka’s name along with the song title “Shootaz.”

The two have previously collaborated on a song called “Infrared,” which has gained 13 million views on VybzKartelRadio and 11 million views on MasickagenahsydeVEVO. Though no official release date has been made, fans eagerly await the release of the new collaboration.
