Man Crushed to Death By Container after Truck Overturns in Spanish Town – Watch Videos

A tragic incident unfolded on Salt Pond Road in Spanish Town, where a man was crushed by a container while exiting the Grace Kennedy Distribution Centre.

Reports detail that the driver of a silver Honda Fit was leaving Grace Kennedy’s compound Friday afternoon while a truck was entering the premises. The truck overturned outside the gates, resulting in the 20-foot container crushing the car.

According to the Jamaica Gleaner, the tragedy occurred around 2:15 p.m.

The report details that the police and the Jamaica Fire Brigade quickly arrived at the scene, and Grace Kennedy’s personnel assisted with the investigation.

Videos of the incident are circulating, showing the crushed vehicle under the container. Bystanders are seen watching and recording the wrecked vehicle, and an arm is visible inside.

Onlookers were also heard discussing that the victim seemingly saw the container falling and tried to escape it by jumping over to the passenger’s side.

Another footage showed the man’s corpse lying on the ground after the container was heaved off the car.
