The latest reports from rapper Rakim Athelaston Mayers, better known as A$AP Rocky’s legal predicament are that most of the jurors have been set after being quizzed about buying Rihanna’s music or Fenty products in the past.
Seven females and five males were selected as members of the jury, as per reports, none of them are black despite Rocky’s attorney also having a say into who was selected.
Over 100 prospects applied to be a juror, the selections started on Tuesday after the 36-year-old pleaded not guilty and turned down a deal that would have resulted in him spending 180 days of jail time, now he’s faced with the possibility of spending up to 24 years in prison if found guilty.
As per reports, the potential jurors are being asked about their knowledge of Rocky and Rihanna. Questions are also asked about buying the couple’s music or products including makeup and or clothing.
Individuals were asked about being able to give a fair verdict if the pop star was present in court in support of her children’s father.
The New York rapper will go on trial for allegedly firing a weapon at his former associate ASAP Relli back in 2021 in Hollywood, he was arrested and charged in 2022 for the incident.
Jury selection ended on Thursday, The trial will start Friday morning.
