Beenie Man Visited by the Police

The JCF has officially reported that Beenie Man is not in lockup in reply to recent rumours, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Stephanie Lindsay explains why the King of the Dancehall was visited by the cops however not arrested.

Linsay went on to outline that Beenie Man was hosting an event to celebrate the life of his late mother affectionally known as “Mama Lilieth” who past away last week.


“He’s not in police custody,” and, “no, he wasn’t,” Lindsay, told the Jamaica Gleaner in an interview.

The event was turned off because more people were at the event than the 15 allotted by the Disaster Risk Management Act. She states that Davis complied with the police instructions hence he was not arrested.

“He was instructed to close it off. He did comply and the fact that he complied then, there would be no need to arrest him,” Lindsay also told The Gleaner.  

It’s unclear if the gathering will be investigated like the surprise party kept for Usain bolt recently.

Since the tragic passing of Beenie’s mother he has made no public appearance, he deleted all his posts on Instagram and is yet to talk on the matter which seemingly has left him speechless.

Beenie Man’s daughter Desha ealrier took to Instagram to share her recent moments with her grandmother and she wrote a touching caption which outlines the fact that she was not ready for her grand mother’s passing, she wrote: “This one I’ll never be able to accept ur in a better place I knw that but I’m not ready rip mama ”.

Sean Paul, Ding Dong, Twin of twins, Don Mafia, Lisa Hyper and several other members of the dancehall world have since gone online to send condolences.
