Veteran dancehall artiste Bounty Killer, went berserk as he zooms in on the reasons he has not been granted an American visa for the longest while and his non-existent respect for the LBGT+ group. Bounty also addresses local politicians as it regards to him not receiving national honours.
In a short and fiery visual preview of Bounty’s soon-to-be-released interview, fans were treated with the entertainer’s raw passion on an issue he has remained resolute on over the years. Many local artistes and public figures have shied away from seemingly upsetting and confronting the LBGT+ group, but not Bounty.
Bounty had this message for the group, “Me is a straight man and me nah like nuh bend up man nuh lean boy and send this to the world, LBGT don’t like me and me nuh like them what the problem it’s hypocrisy or democracy? Me nah nuh right waa happen to my pride, waa happen to my dignity, waa happen to my sovereignty, me like waa me like and me nuh like waa me nuh like.”
The dancehall stalwart lists his strong stance on the group as one of the reasons he hasn’t been granted an American visa. According to the entertainer, his seeming link with convicted ‘drug kingpin’ Christoper ‘Dudus’ Coke was the other reason.
“When me jus buss everybody think me a ‘Labourite’ enuh, tru Dudus like me, cause him see me as a rebel weh stand for the people that’s one thing that America tek my visa too and they don’t want to admit it, it’s all about LBGT and Dudus,” Bounty declared on ‘The Fix‘ Interview.
Bounty also addresses the question of not being awarded by the Jamaican government with national honours, stating, “Me witness politicians bring guns at calaloo bed.”
