Born Fighter Jahshii, whose real name is Mluleki Tafari Clarke, turned himself over to the Constant Spring Police on Wednesday, June 21, to answer questions related to the murder of 45-year-old businessman Omar “Romie” Wright.
The dancehall artiste was accompanied by his lawyers, King’s Counsel Peter Champagnie and Richard Lynch. Jahshii was questioned and released after his lawyer initially contacted the Criminal Investigations Branch(CIB) to set up the session
“The artiste’s lawyer contacted the CIB to make arrangements for him to do a question and answer session,” a source told OBSERVER ONLINE.
Jahshii turned himself over to the police a day after the police announced that he was wanted for questioning with regards to the murder that has left the Grant’s Pen community ‘tense’.
Rumours are that Romie and Jahshii’s mother had a dispute which turned physical. After an alleged visit by Jahshii Romie was killed on Shortwood Road some minutes to 11 p.m. on June 7.
Jahshii is yet to react or talk about the situation, he also archived/hid all his Instagram posts seemingly to take a break from social media.
