Dancehall entertainer Mluleki Tafari Clarke aka Jahshii has made the headlines for some damaging allegations and is now being sought by the St. Andrew police. It’s alleged that the 25/8 artiste was the mastermind behind the recent murder of a man in the Grant’s Pen community.
The deceased is 45-year-old businessman Omar Wright who goes by the name “Romie”. According to reports, Romie and Jahshii’s mother got into a dispute which turned violent.
Reports state that Jahshii confronted Romie about throwing water on his mother, however, was disrespected while doing so. It’s alleged that Romie is the brother of a “Don” from the area who is now living overseas.
Subsequent to Jahshii allegedly confronting Romie, Romie was attacked and killed on Shortwood Road some minutes to 11 p.m. the same night on June 7.
The entertainer’s mother is known to operate a wholesale business in Grant’s Pen, it’s reported that Romie also had a business close to her business.
Since the murder of Romie, the community has been tense as stated by Superintendent Sherika Service, who heads the St. Andrew North Police Division. Superintendent Service told Nationwide News on Tuesday that the police “would love to speak” with the entertainer about the rumours.
Further rumours are circulating that Romie’s brother has sworn to avenge his death causing Jahshii to avoid the area.
