Jamaica vs Mexico Today!

The Reggae Boyz will tackle Mexico at 7 PM, Sunday, March 26. The much-anticipated match will be played in Mexico at the Estadio Azteca Stadium. This Jamaica vs Mexico game is said to be an interesting encounter because both head Coaches are new to their team, each has played less than three games as head coach of their respective teams.

The match will be Mexico’s head coach Diego Cocca’s first home match while on the other hand, it will be Jamaica’s head coach, Heimir Hallgrimsson‘s first match away from from the island.

With much at stake, both coaches are expected to start their strongest 11 players. Both teams are playing for a place in the CONCACAF Nations League finals, set to start on June 15 and end on June 18. The CONCACAF Nations League finals will take place in Las Vegas, NV, USA.

Jamaica men’s national team(The Reggae Boyz) is currently ranked at number 64 while Mexico is ranked at 12 in the world FIFA rankings.

On the other hand, the Reggae Girlz, the women’s national team is ranked 43rd at the moment.

Head coach Hallgrimsson failed to secure a win in any of the two friendly matches against Trinidad and Tobago, the team is also yet to score a goal under the new coach. However, the head coach said he was more interested in seeing and getting to know his players than the result. In addition, the coach thinks Reggae Boyz played better than in the first game and created more chances.

Notably, coach Hallgrimsson did not work with the first team for the first two matches that were played in Jamaica and this will be his first time picking from a fairly strong squad of players.
