The police are now taking action regarding the lawsuit La Lewis has opened against the Minister of Culture, Gender Entertainment and Sports Honourable Olivia Grange who allegedly assaulted him when she embarrassingly ordered him to be removed from the Culture Yard in Trench Town.
An investigation has been launched into the alleged assault case and two detectives visited IRIE FM’s Kingston Office yesterday to gather evidence as they made inquiries regarding the incident.
The March 22 incident took place while La Lewis was doing a live social media interview with IRIE FM when he was approached by Oliva “Babsy” Grange, who immediately put a stop to the interview and asked him to leave.
Lewis had openly shared that it was a very embarrassing experience for him to be ordered to leave the Culture Yard in Trench Town during the royal visit of Prince William and his wife Catherine.
Lewis had previously issued an ultimatum to prevent a lawsuit which stated that the minister should publicly apologise. However, Minister Grange did not respond to his threats of a lawsuit, nor did she address the allegations of her assaulting him, which in the lawsuit details that her fingernail scratched him and he had to seek medical attention.
