Ninjaman Calls for Rehabilitation Reforms for People Behind “prison walls”
Share
Just before the 2023 year ended, videos of Jamaican prisoners protesting about their disheartening treatment in prison were shared on social media, and they also spoke about a crippling need for serious rehabilitation.
Again, Ninjaman, the outspoken incarcerated deejay, is speaking out against how prisoners are being treated, though this is not his first time doing so, he previously did so in November 2023. He also reached out to the wider community, asking them to band together in order to facilitate change.
In a post made on Instagram Saturday night, he said, “From behind these prison walls, I, Ninja Man, call upon each of you to join a movement…to renew the minds of those who are locked up. In places like these, hope can fade and dreams can dim. But with your support and belief in transformation, we can ignite a powerful change.”
The Dancehall veteran also mentioned that the public’s involvement can be the “key” to the start of a better future for those in lockup. He once again implored people to join the movement to “make a real difference” and “change lives from the inside out.”

He also posted an old interview to this Instagram Story where he spoke about showing God appreciation and advised others to “get up every day and give God thanks and praise.”
