The date for an upcoming peaceful protest has been set for those concerned about the well-being of missing Dancehall artiste Stephanie Williams, more widely known as Stephanie Medikk.
Talk show host Shellyann Curran uploaded a poster with the event date, time, and location on her social media, encouraging all those who would like to support to show up and turn out for the event.
The protest is slated to be held at the Constant Spring Police station and is open to all who are willing to support.
In the caption of the post, she stated, “There will be a peaceful Protest on Tuesday 10am…We are appealing to Everyone who is also not getting Justice in Jamaica to come and show your Disapproval on the Justice System.” She also mentioned that the time to stand up for families in the country is now.
Medikk stepped onto the music scene in 2018 as a 24-year-old and now five years later at 29, has been declared missing. Medikk was last seen on Thursday, August 24, 2023, wearing black tights, shoes, and a black top.
Her mother, Milicent McCurdy, had stated that Medikk was told by her boyfriend and road manager to get ready for a video shoot in Ocho Rios. All efforts to contact Medikk’s management team by her family after her disappearance have yielded no information about the shoot.
