According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, the rapper was taken into custody in Pinellas County following an alleged evasion of police. Details about Wave’s arrest remain scant, but it has been reported that his bond was set at $0.

A mug shot is now circulating online of the rapper. However, the specifics surrounding the arrest remain somewhat vague.

Following the arrest, Wave’s legal representation, Bradford Cohen and Mark Rankin, swiftly challenged the charges. As per reports, from TMZ They argue that the classification of Rod Wave as a convicted felon is a mistake, asserting that he has never been convicted of a felony. They are adamant that a more thorough investigation should have been conducted before the charges were levelled against him.

Despite the ongoing legal battle, reports indicate that Rod Wave has been released on his own recognizance. However, contrasting information from jail records suggests he might still be in custody. This discrepancy adds another layer of complexity to the situation.

Rod Wave’s legal history includes previous encounters with the law. Notably, he faced a domestic violence case also in Florida, where he was accused of felony battery. The charges were eventually dropped, reinforcing his legal team’s stance that he has no felony convictions.

Currently, Rod Wave’s situation is under scrutiny, as it’s reported that he was found with weapons or ammunition. Given his alleged status as a felon, such possession would be illegal, although the exact repercussions he faces remain uncertain.
