Reggae Boy Ethan Pinnock finished Brentford’s match day on Saturday with his team’s sole goal during the game with Manchester United.
In Matchweek 8 of the English Premier League season, Brentford faced off against Man United on United’s home territory at Old Trafford.
Today’s match was of great importance to both clubs who have been struggling in this season of the Premier League, with Brentford losing three previous away games and United only walking away with one win out of six past matches.
As the first half of today’s match came to a close, Pinnock secured an early lead for Brentford in minute five of stoppage time with a spectacular header following a corner kick and assist from teammate Mikkel Damsgaard.
It was a controversial moment because Matthijs de Ligt, a key defender of Manchester United was sent off the field to get treatment during right before the corner kick was taken, because of blood running from his head.
Therefore Man U was a man short as Pinnock showed dominance in the box.
Today’s goal marks the second for the Reggae Boy this Premier League season after Brentford’s 5-3 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Despite Pinnock’s promising first-half closer, Manchester United walked away with a 2-1 win, with Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund securing goals in the second half.
