Reggae Boyz Beat USA 1-0
In what most would consider a surprise win, Jamaica managed to outscore the USA in Washington DC to win their final friendly match before the CONCACAF Gold Cup. It must be said that Jamaican was the better side over the 90 add minutes of the match, the Reggae Boyz managed to score the only goal of the match via a spectacular shot from outside of the box by forward player Shamar Nicholson.

Notably, Leon Bailey did not play while Mattocks did not start, it can be said also that several of the USA expected starting players did not start while others did not play.
The Reggae Boyz will face El Salvador, Honduras and Curacao in Group C of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, the exception this time around is that Jamaica will get to play some matches on home soil which will only boost their confidence in making it to the last round of the tournament again.
Coach Whitmore who’s optimistic about the Match between the USA and the upcoming Gold Cup stated earlier that “Nothing is impossible. We just have to work hard and make sure we get in a decent preparation and then in the tournament, we’ll see what we can do,” said Whitmore.
