Reggae Boyz vs. Serbia Match Ends in Draw

Jamaica’s men national football team kicked off their summer international friendly campaign with a match against European team Serbia which ended in a 1-1 draw. The last time both teams tackled each other was back in 2014, with Serbia winning that match 2-1.

The match was played at the Miki Athletic Stadium located in Japan. The kick-off was at 2 AM Jamaica time on Monday. Jamaica scored first in the 29th minute via a goal from Andre Grey, however, Serbia equalised in the 61st minute. Despite the draw, the Boyz played a good match and notably created better chances in the match.

According to Fifa, Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz currently ranks 45 worldwide while Serbia ranks 25 with Belgium being the number 1 ranked football team in the world.

The Reggae Boyz who saw their first game cancelled vs Japan due to COVID-19 concerns will next play the Japanese Olympic team on June 12th.
