The two-week trial for the 17-year-old started on February 6th, according to reports in the English blogosphere. Ben Dawson, who was recently appointed to the role of manager of the under-21 team, is expected to train Richards with a highly competitive squad of under-21 players.
“The 17-year-old comes from the same Phoenix Academy as Aston Villa star Leon Bailey and could become the latest teenage sensation to sign, should he impress,” wrote the NUFCblog.co.uk.
