Top 5 Trending/Hottest Dancehall Songs in Jamaica Right Now – May 2024

Securing spots on the latest iteration of the top five trending list are Dancehall artistes Jamal, Armani, Skippa, RajaWild, Squash, and Brysco. This list is based on the top five trending songs on YouTube for Jamaica at the moment.

Jamal kicks off this top-five list with his single Never Fear. The track takes the #5 spot on the list following its release on April 21.

The St. James deejay continues to make the controversial slang ‘dunce’ a part of his persona and utilises the phrase several times as he proclaims both his fierceness and fearlessness. The Hugo Boss Records-produced track has so far acquired more than 566,000 views and 37,000 likes since its release.

After both being featured on Rvssian‘s Dutty Money riddim, Dancehall artistes RajahWild and Brysco have teamed up for their first collab, MUK. This Jiggy D Entertainment-produced track currently occupies the #4 spot on trending and incorporates a 70s-inspired disco beat that was created by SeanGod Music and Jiggy D.

MUK‘s Lagikz Supreme-directed music video also features 70s influences and has acquired over 654,000 views and 33,000 likes since its premiere on April 22.

Armanii takes the #3 spot on this list with his latest release, HAAD (Fiesta). The track samples Fiesta by now-incarcerated R&B singer R. Kelly and is one of the featured tracks on DJ Mac’s Fiesta 2k4 riddim.

HAAD was released on April 17 and has amassed over 1.6 million views on YouTube and 70,000 likes.

Claiming the #2 spot in the top five is Skippa with his single Hugo. Produced by Rich Together Ent, Hugo Boss, and Benjii Rainzz Records, Hugo also uses a sample from international artistes, incorporating Skippa’s hardcore dancehall flow with Rihanna and Mikky Ekko’s ‘Stay‘.

Following its release on April 26, Hugo has acquired over 448,000 views and 20,000 likes.

Montego Bay native Squash secures the #1 spot in the top five with his recently released single, ‘Big Breeze‘. Produced by Attomatic Records and 6ixReal Records, Squash advises his enemies to stop “capping” as he flaunts his lavish assets and the supremacy of his crew.

Following its release on April 21, Big Breeze has acquired over 1.1 million views and 33,000 likes.
